Please note that when entering elements in the software with known coordinates, these must be expressed in plane coordinates, i.e. expressed in plane units of measurement (cm, m, km, etc.). The plane reference systems (plane map projections) available in cartography are expressed in m (example: UTM-WGS84 33N spindle with EPSG code: 32633, UTM-WGS84 32N spindle with EPSG code: 32632, UTM-ED50 33N spindle with EPSG code: 23033 etc.). Use coordinates with the same reference system (DATUM) for both the topographic surface and the surveys or other element to be inserted. Do not use geographical coordinates expressed in angles (latitude and longitude)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before inserting the probing, the topographic surface must be created. From \u2018Topographic surface and stratum\u2019 in Workspace, right-click and then click \u2018Import topographic surface\u2019:<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"837\" height=\"569\" src=\"https:\/\/support.geostru.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/08\/image-7.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-32299\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.4710017574692442;width:837px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/support.geostru.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/08\/image-7.png 837w, https:\/\/support.geostru.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/08\/image-7-300x204.png 300w, https:\/\/support.geostru.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/08\/image-7-768x522.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 837px) 100vw, 837px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Then load the text file containing the coordinates of the topographic surface. In this case we are dealing with UTM plane coordinates formatted in Coord. North, East, Z. In the import window, the \u2018Axis translation\u2019 option brings the imported surface closer to the local origin of the reference system to improve calculation fluidity. Under \u2018Test Positioning\u2019, information on the position of the test is entered.
