No. NX is a third line that stands alongside the other two, it does not replace them.<\/p>\n

The desktop software remains the reference for complete professional work.<\/strong> We keep developing it, updating it to the standards and supporting it: the annual update plan is exactly what sustains this work and the infrastructure that makes activations and services possible. No desktop feature is being moved or shut down to make room for NX.<\/p>\n

The GeoApp remain the subscription suite<\/strong> for quick calculations from any device, with their own catalogue and their own development cycle.<\/p>\n

NX are applications rewritten from scratch to run in the browser<\/strong>, with a built-in AI assistant that carries out commands in natural language. “Rewritten” concerns the interface and the architecture, not the calculations: NX uses the same certified algorithms as the desktop versions<\/strong>, so with the same input data the results are the same and keep the same validity for the technical report. They are not a mere conversion of the desktop programs, though: they are a different technology, and that is why they live on a separate platform (geostru.ai). They run without installation and without hardware keys, they are always up to date, and in some cases they do not yet offer all the features of the corresponding desktop versions: the difference lies in the available functions and in the interface, not in the calculation engine. If your work depends on an advanced feature, the desktop program remains the right tool.<\/p>\n

Why the licence is different.<\/strong> Every NX processing runs on our servers and consumes computing and AI resources: this is why NX works on a Pay-per-Use, credit-based model. You buy a package and every chargeable operation draws on it; if the operation fails, nothing is charged. There is therefore no owned licence as with the desktop programs, which remain yours permanently on the workstation where you activated them. It is a structural difference of the web model, not a change of commercial strategy.<\/p>\n

In practice:<\/strong> keep the desktop programs updated for your everyday work and use NX when you need to work away from the office, from a computer that is not yours, or to take advantage of the AI assistant. The two worlds live together and exchange data.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t
