Before formatting, changing computer or uninstalling the software, deactivate the licence: open the program and go to ? → Registration → Deactivate. The activation becomes available again and you can use it on the new workstation.
The activation is tied to the single workstation and is recorded on our servers. Making new activations is part of the web services, which are available as long as the update plan (10% of the list price per year) or the annual subscription is running. Software that has already been activated keeps working on the workstation where it is installed even when the services have expired: what you lose is the possibility of moving it.
If you have already formatted or changed PC without deactivating:
- the old PC is still accessible: reinstall the software on that machine, it will recover the licence stored there, then deactivate it and activate it where you need it;
- the old PC can no longer be used and your update plan is active: open a ticket at support.geostru.eu stating the software and the licence code, we will release the activation that is still taken;
- the services have expired: new activations are not possible. Renewal is made from your user area on geostru.eu, bearing in mind that non-renewed years are counted; for very old versions write to office@geostru.eu for a discounted upgrade proposal.
The practical advice is always the same: deactivate before any work on the computer (formatting, replacement, reinstallation of the operating system). It is the only step that depends on you and it is what keeps you from running out of available activations.
